To be a healer...

For a physician to learn how to truly heal patients, modern medicine is a good beginning.  It provides the student with a solid understanding of the science of medicine; anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, endocrinology, etc.  Following this intensive training, the true physician is then prepared to begin his journey into the wonderful and vast universe of healing.  To learn more click here.  To learn more about me, click here.

ADHD, "How can I know if my son can really avoid Ritalin?"

If your child has the ability to stay focused on a task in which he/she is really interested e.g., reading or being read to, computer games, Legos, puzzles, etc., then this is the treatment of choice.

Children frequently are falling and getting a variety of bumps and bangs.  Usually the problems resolve themselves, but sometimes they don't.  That is when a change can occur and the child begins with behavior changes, difficulty concentrating, can't sleep or can't stop sleeping.  It is astonishing how many children are in pain but don't know it, and how often when the pain is resolved, their behavior and concentration improves.

Through hands-on treatment, the child’s body is restored to a state of balance so that the mind will be at peace.  The child may also require vitamins or dietary changes. Read more about five ways to help your child reduce ADD symptoms.

Welcome to my practice

For over 30 years I have been specializing in the treatment of ADHD and in the treatment of neck, back and knee pain due to injuries or accidents.

Through Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, balance is restored to the body, pain and suffering are alleviated, and my patients are spared from unnecessary drugs and surgery.

American trained Osteopaths are fully trained and licensed physicians which affords us the advantage of combining traditional medical training with the less traditional hands on approach to diagnosis and treatment.  Through  gentle palpation, observation and astute listening, many problems can be solved naturally, safely and efficiently.

Pain from trauma to the body, whether from a sports injury, fall or accident, can last for years and affect seemingly unrelated parts of the body.   M., age 34, had been suffering with neck pain for 8 years.  All of the practitioners he saw focused on his neck. When he came to my office, he was on narcotics for the pain and needed other medications to help him cope with the side effects of the narcotics.   In addition he was experiencing mood changes, insomnia, marital problems, and difficulty at work.  I discovered, after the initial evaluation, that the problem wasn’t due to a neck issue, but was related to a fall he had experienced 6 months prior to the onset of the neck pain.  After Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment addressing the true source of the neck pain, he was off all narcotics after only 3 treatments, back to work, and for the first time in years, pain free.
